SPJ Conference relocates after Hurricane Francine forces venue change

NEW ORLEANS — Hurricane Francine’s aftermath impacted the Society of Professional Journalists Region 8 and 12 conference, causing quick location changes.   The two-day conference was primarily supposed to take place at Loyola University in New Orleans; however, according to Jennifer Ellis, regional coordinator for Region 12, the university sustained flood damage during the storm and was no longer a suitable event space.
