NEW ORLEANS — Artificial intelligence (AI) is a growing concern within the media industry, with journalists voicing concerns about the spread of misinformation and the possible decline in job opportunities due to the technology. Throughout the “Artificial Intelligence: Ethically and Effectively Navigating The New Landscape” panel, led by Denise Malan, a data journalism trainer, and Gina Shelton, an ethics leader at the University of Arkansas, the speakers analyzed how much of a threat this tool poses to today’s writers and journalists.
