Journalism Faces Social Media Gatekeeping 

Journalists and news stations use social media platforms to promote, inform and educate people, both nationally and internationally. However, these digital platforms can sometimes restrict the information being published. “One of the challenges is that we don’t know much about how this algorithm works, because the people who develop them and the people who market them don’t want to share that information, they’re considered trade secrets,” said Andy Lee Roth, Editor-At-Large at Project Censored.
