An employee at WBUR radio in Boston, Meagan McGinnes has never personally been a victim of online attacks. However, during the “Building Resilience to Online Violence” workshop during Excellence in Journalism 2019, she shared a story of a coworker being harassed for an opinion piece on how wearing sombreros during Cinco de Mayo is offensive.
